  3. It's difficult to say....I have to chose 4 at least. 'Around The World In 80 Tales','Encyclopedia of Indian Cinema', and 'Hindi Film Geet Kosh Volumes I and II'. They are timeless and any day good to read again. The first one is dear also because my dearest grandmother had told my parents to gift me after I requested her.
  4. I adore singers, actors and music directors of 1930s - 1940s Indian films, especially Hindi. All of them have come up through sheer talent, and unique abilities.

  7. When it takes off, and when it lands, and oh - watching the sky through the's really enchanting.

  10. What do you call an alligator wearing a vest? An investigator.

  1. Congratulations, Vidur! How nice of Deepa to nominate you for the award!

I fondly recall Paati's gift to you - 'Around The World In 80 Tales'. I am sure she is watching over you and is proud of you!

What fun we had getting hol dof 'Encyclopedia of Indian Cinema'. I am very glad you enjoy your books and reading.

Your Amirbai-ji post was excellent and I was amazed at the research you put in.

May you always shine with love and kindness - and may all that you wish come true.

Wishing you all the best for your exams!

    Love, Mi

  2. Mummy, thanks! Yes, really nice of her.

Yes, it is so valuable. Yes, and now it is so great to have it :) Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts Mummy!

Thanks, I loved doing that post. Thank you so much Mummy, and with your blessings it will always be so.

  3. You're most welcome Vidur! It feels so nice that you have so many varied interests! You'll never be bored, you'll always have so much to do! :)
" I blog only what I love, so I love all that I blog :) " Excellent statement, very well said! And you're right, sometimes books and gifts mean more to us emotionally, don't they! :) Do you sing too? Something from your answers makes me think you like to sing classical songs too! Greece is on my travel list too! :) The investigator thing was cute, witty! Keep blogging Vidur, best wishes for everything ahead!

  4. @Deepa Ma'am. thank you so much for your kind appreciation. Yes, luckily :)

It was a pleasure to answer the questions. Yes, I do sing, I learn Hindustani classical music and this is my 7th year of learning.

Thank you Ma'am, and best wishes and respects to you too.

  5. If I am not mistaken, that's the final year right? Congratulations on a successful course!

  6. @Deepa Thanks Ma'am, but there are at least 3 more years :)

  7. I am a more or less retired mathematician who visits Hyderabad once a year. If there is any thing that I can do, please let me know. Here is a, not updated, list of my publications

    1. @gaddeswarup Good to know Sir. But Iam not sure what you want me to do....could you please tell me clearly?

  8. That list of publications shows my research interests. If you are interested in any of those areas, I can suggest some references and persons to talk to. Perhaps it is early to talk of research if you have not already some research interests in mathematics. May be one should wait, read around, and see which areas interest you.

    1. @gaddeswarup Yes Sir, I may do research in mathematics, that's what Iam aspiring. But I will have to wait a bit to study those :) Thank you!

  9. In my case, I started understanding mathematics a bit when I was fifteen, I realized that it was not just calculations but there were attractive concepts too. I started reading general books and by the age of seventeen I was attracted to topology. Even though it took ten years more to actually start doing research, I more or less stayed in the same area until now. I think that as you look around, you will probably find yourself what suits your tastes. If you do write to me, pl. Do not use the university address. I retired 8 years ago and am not using that address any more. You can delete this mail after reading it. Regards

    1. Great to know that, Sir. Hopefully even I will take interest in some area soon. Thanks for the information.

Thank you for reading! I welcome your valuable comment!
